The Future
We are an elite basketball academy where
people can participate for fun or at the highest competitive level.
We offer courses / training leading to recognised qualifications
within the sport.
The community group is a focal point and safe environment for the whole
family to come to participate and get involved.
We are registering as a charity and are about to sign a 10 year lease on
the facility. There is so much work to be undertaken that we need to
appoint a full time community development officer which will attract a
self funding salary.
Repair and overhaul of this facility is also high on our agenda.
We have just had a quotation to insulate the sports hall at a cost of
42.5k plus vat, which will dramatically reduce our heating bill
currently costing 11k per year. The heating system requires replacing
and will cost in the region of 63k. The sports hall floor requires
repairs, remarking and resealing costing 12k.
We aim to purchase 2 second hand minibuses to help us
transport the teams and community groups throughout the year.
Our base running cost is £25k/year.
We have set up a separate account for the capital work that requires
to be done.
