Gardening tips and ideas

When you cut your grass, if it seems hard to push the mower, but you don’t seem to be collecting a lot in the grass box, it may be that you have more moss than grass.  Moss tends to make grass cutting hard work, the blades have a constant pressure pushing back as they try to turn.  By simply raking the moss from time to time, it will keep the lawn healthy, help it to dry out quicker and also make it easier to cut.

Grass can be scarified or de-thatched anytime it is dry.  Moss and dead grass can be removed, giving the grass more of a chance to grow.
